Self-worth can be an uncomfortable feeling to talk about or even recognize for some of us.

You may look at others and your opinions about them to formulate their self-worth.  But you should avoid trying to compare yourself to others. YOU are what matters to your worth and happiness.

Learn how to examine your own qualities and characteristics to begin establishing your self-worth. Get in tune with yourself and realize the value you hold.

Need ways to get started on building your self-worth? We can help:

  • Practice setting boundaries.  Saying no to people can be difficult but also empowering. Give yourself more control over what comes at you and your time.
  • Recite positive affirmations to yourself.  This may make you feel strange at first, but it’s a simple way to be in better touch with your emotions, and the more you do this, the more your self-worth improves.
  • Do some nice things for yourself.  While this might sound selfish, self-care is essential to improving your self-worth. It’s OK to make yourself a priority, especially if you are a caregiver. You must take time to recharge and be a better version of yourself.
  • Make time for healthy activities.  Get exercise, find a new hobby, relax with friends and family. Whatever you do, be sure it makes you happy, recharges your spirit, and builds upon self-appreciation.
